Pilot Freight Services Acquires DSI Logistics to Further Expand Final Mile Delivery Segment
GLEN MILLS, PA – April 6, 2021 – https://www.pilotdelivers.com/ (Pilot), a worldwide transportation and logistics services provider backed by ATL Partners and British Columbia Investment Corporation (BCI), has acquired DSI Logistics (DSI), a non-asset based provider of last-mile home delivery and installation for heavy and hard to handle goods. The transaction closed on March 31, 2021.
The strategic purchase of DSI will further expand Pilot Last Mile Home, the company’s national final mile home delivery solution. This acquisition positions Pilot as the second-largest last-mile delivery provider for big and bulky goods in the United States.
Pilot’s full mile and final mile home delivery solutions continue to benefit from the strong growth of e-commerce in the big and bulky product categories, and with the addition of DSI, these segments represent over half of Pilot’s revenue.
